Using the Keyword Search box

Think of one or more words that describe what you are searching for then type them in the box labeled Keyword Search.

Try to choose words that really mean what you want. For example, if you are interested in satellites, don't put inventions, or History Trek will think you mean every Canadian invention!

Sometimes you will have to use more than one word to describe what you are looking for. Let's say you are looking for information about forts in Manitoba. You should use both words. If you use just forts, History Trek will find web sites on all the forts in Canada! If you use just Manitoba, History Trek will find web sites with anything on Manitoba! If you put the two words together, this will help History Trek look for information about forts in Manitoba.

It doesn't matter what order you type in the words or whether they're capitalized or not. For example, you can type either, forts Manitoba or Manitoba Forts.

History Trek will do its best to catch spelling mistakes. If it finds a spelling mistake, it will suggest another way to spell your word.
